Çalışma izinleri işveren tarafından alınır ve yine işveren tarafından sonlandırılır. İşverenin, Çalışma ve Sosyal Güvenlik Bakanlığına yaptığı sonlandırma bildirimiyle çalışma izni geçerliliğini kaybeder.
Burada bilinmesi gereken en önemli husus şudur:
Çalışma izni aynı zamanda ikamet izni yerine geçtiği için, yabancının çalışma izni dışında başka bir geçerli ikamet hakkı (Aile, Kısa veya Uzun dönem ikamet izni, Öğrenci ikamet izni) yoksa Türkiye’de yasal kalış hakkı da sona erer.
Yabancının, başka bir geçerli ikamet hakkı bulunmuyorsa, çalışma izninin sona erdiği tarihten itibaren 10 gün süre içerisinde Türkiye’den ayrılması gerekir.
Sürenin geçirilmesi halinde ikamet ihlali oluşur ve çıkışta idari para cezası uygulanır. İhlalin süresine göre ülkemize tekrar girişlerinde kısıtlamalar da gündeme gelir.
Ayrıca geçerli çalışma veya ikamet izni bulunmayan yabancılar için yeni çalışma izni başvurusu yapılamayabileceğinden, sürecin dikkatli planlanması büyük önem taşımaktadır.

How Long can a Foreigner Stay in Turkey After Their Work Permit has been Revoked?
Work permits are obtained by the employer and are also terminated by the employer. The work permit ceases to be valid upon the employer’s notification of termination to the Ministry of Labour and Social Security.
The most important point to bear in mind here is this:
As a work permit also serves as a residence permit, if a foreign national does not hold any other valid right of residence (such as a family, short-term or long-term residence permit, or a student residence permit) apart from their work permit, their right to remain legally in Turkey also ceases.
If the foreign national does not hold any other valid right of residence, they must leave Turkey within 10 days of the expiry date of their work permit.
Failure to comply with the time limit constitutes a residence violation, and an administrative fine will be imposed upon departure. Depending on the duration of the violation, restrictions may also apply to re-entry into our country.
Furthermore, as it may not be possible to apply for a new work permit for foreign nationals who do not hold a valid work or residence permit, it is of the most importance to plan the process carefully.
