Since the appointment will be cancelled, the application will also be automatically cancelled. If the legal period of stay has expired, a new appointment cannot be scheduled. If the legal period has not yet expired, there is an entitlement to two appointments within a six-month period.

  • Can I change the appointment date?

Before the scheduled appointment date, the existing appointment can be cancelled, and a new appointment can be made for the desired date.

  • Which original documents should I take to the appointment?

Since there are various types of residence permits, the documents required for each application differ. However, applicants must have the originals of all submitted documents with them. The immigration official inspects the originals and retains photocopies of specific documents for the file, depending on the application. In particular, the original passport and photographs must be brought along.

Once the card is printed following approval, it is delivered to the address via PTT.

Therefore, it is not possible to provide an exact date.

  • Can I travel outside Turkey before the card arrives?

Yes. You can travel abroad and re-enter the country using the temporary residence permit document issued by the Directorate of Migration Management. This document is valid for 15 days abroad and 90 days within Turkey.
