Türk vatandaşı ile evli olan yabancılar, vatandaşlık başvurularını ikamet ettikleri ilin İl Nüfus Müdürlüğüne yaparlar. İlçe Nüfus Müdürlükleri başvuru almaya yetkili değildir.
Temel şart: En az 3 yıl evli olmak ve bu sürenin Türkiye’de ya da yurtdışında geçirilmiş olması başvuru hakkını etkilemez.
Yurtdışında yaşayanlar için: Türkiye’de hiç bulunmamış olsalar bile, bulundukları ülkedeki Türk Konsolosluğu veya Büyükelçiliği üzerinden başvuru yapabilirler. Başvuru yapılırken sahip olunan ikamet türüne bakılmaz. (İnsani ikamet izni hariç)

Application for Turkish Citizenship by Marriage:
Foreign nationals married to Turkish citizens must submit their applications for citizenship to the Provincial Population Directorate in the province where they reside. District Population Offices are not authorised to accept applications.
The most important basic requirement: You must have been married for at least 3 years, and whether this period was spent in Turkey or abroad does not affect your eligibility to apply.
For those living abroad: Even if they have never been to Turkey, they can apply through the Turkish Consulate or Embassy in their country of residence.
The type of residence permit held at the time of application is not taken into account. (Except for humanitarian residence permits)
