Uzmanlık sürecine (TUS / DUS) geçen öğrenciler, eğitimleri sırasında “yabancı asistan”
statüsünde maaş aldıkları için öğrenci ikamet izni yerine Çalışma İzin Muafiyet Belgesi
kapsamına alınmaktadır.
Ancak bu durum, ilerleyen süreçte uzmanlık sonrası alınacak çalışma, aile ikamet izinleri
veya vatandaşlık başvurularında önemli hak kayıpları doğurabilir: Bu muafiyet belgesi,
öğrenci ikamet izni gibi değerlendirilmez.
Yani süreç, yeniden ve sıfırdan başlatılmış sayılır. Bu nedenle hak kaybı yaşamamak adına
sürecin başından itibaren doğru planlanması büyük önem taşır.

Important Reminder for Foreign Medical and Dental Students Studying in Turkey
Students who have completed their specialization training (TUS/DUS) are eligible for a Work
Permit Exemption Certificate instead of a student residence permit because they receive a
salary as a "foreign assistant" during their training.
However, this situation may lead to significant loss of rights in future post-specialization
work, family residence permits, or citizenship applications: This exemption certificate is not
considered the same as a student residence permit.
In other words, the process is essentially restarted from scratch. Therefore, proper planning
